Custom Calling Features
Speed Calling lets you program your phone to store eight frequently called
numbers and then call any of the stored numbers instantly by dialing just
one digit. It’s convenient for busy people who need to complete their calls
quickly, great for children who can’t always remember an entire number when
they need help and easy for the elderly and disabled to make their calls.
You can even store long distance numbers for greater convenience.
With Call Waiting, you’ll never miss important phone calls because you were
on the phone. When you hear a beep, you just put one caller on hold while
you take the other call. You can even change back and forth between the
calls. And with Call Waiting, you’ll always be able to get through when
you’re trying to call home. Call Waiting is great for families with
talkative teenagers or for important business callers who might need to
reach you at home.
With Three-Way Calling, you can add another person to your phone
conversation, so the three of you can talk on the same call, It’s great for
making plans or just visiting with friends. One or both of your
conversations can even be long distance. Think of how fun it would be
sharing exciting news with two family members at once or the time saved by
including two associates in one phone conversation!
With Call Forwarding, you can transfer your calls quickly and easily to
another number where you can be reached or someone can talk a message for
you. Just dial a code and the number where you want your calls automatically
transferred. You won’t have to stay home waiting for an important call. And
since your calls are always answered, Call Forwarding can offer extra
security by never letting callers know you’re away from home.
Call Waiting ID Display is included when subscribing to Caller ID and Call
Waiting. With Call Waiting ID Display, you have the capability of displaying
Caller ID Information, name and/or number, of incoming call waiting calls,
You will have the option to answer or ignore the incoming call. A compatible
Caller ID display screen is required.
Advanced Custom Calling Features
Unlike basic call forwarding where you have to be at the phone number itself
to make any changes to the feature. Call Forward Remote Access allows you to
control your forwarding from anywhere, by allowing you to dial directly into
the switch, and change your forwarding number, activate or deactivate the
The feature allows your calls to be forwarded to another number if the call
is not answered after a predetermined number (two-six) of rings. The

This feature allows you to have your calls forwarded to a specified number
when your phone is busy. The specified number can be a local or toll call.

your Voice Mail by sending your calls if busy into your Voice Mail Box.
Great feature when you have two lines and Internet. When you are on the
Internet your callers will be forwarded to your other line.
Repeat Dialing allows you to get through busy numbers as soon as they are
free. You save time dialing busy numbers over and over. When the called line
is free, your line rings’ first, then the other number rings. If the line is
busy, you will hear a recording instructing you to hang up and that the
central office equipment will continuously check the line for a 30 minute
period of time and call you back with a short-short-long ring as soon as the
line is idle. If you are on the phone or do not answer the special ring the
central office equipment will try until you are connected during this
30-minute period of time. The service will automatically time out at the end
of 30 minutes.
As a Wabash Telephone customer, you can determine on a call-by-call basis,
whether or not someone with Caller ID sees your number or name. If you do
not want your number delivered, simply dial *67 (or dial 1167 from; rotary
phone) before dialing the number, 0nce you hang up, your number will again
be delivered to those with Caller ID service until you dial *67 again before
a specific number. Caller ID Block is automatically provided free of charge
to Wabash Telephone customers.
With Call Return you can easily dial your last caller – even if you didn’t
answer. Whoever the last incoming caller was will automatically be called
back. If you couldn’t get to the phone in time, you can still find out who
called. Return the call by dialing a simple code. When you dial *69 the
recording will give you the number of the last incoming call. You can stay
on the line and Call Return will automatically call back this number or you
can hang up. If the line is busy, you will hear a recording instructing you
to hang up and that the central office equipment will continuously check the
line for a 30 minute period of time and call you back (with a
short-short-long ring) as soon as the line is idle. If you are on the phone
or do not answer the special ring, the central office equipment will try
again until you are connected. The service will automatically time out at
the end of 30 minutes.
Voice Mail answers the phone when you can’t. Does not require new equipment
in your home. You have nothing to maintain or replace. Allows you to check, save, skip or delete messages from any touch-tone phone. Records the time
and date of each message. Callers can leave a message even when you’re on the phone.
To access your Voice Mail from home or any other phone in the WTCI service area:
When prompted, enter your 10 digit mailbox number (618 XXX XXXX).
When prompted, enter your password (PIN). Your default PIN is 0000 (4 zeros).
When prompted, enter your new 4 digit PIN then #.
When prompted, enter your new 4 digit PIN then # again.
From a different phone:
Dial the local # to you 665-MAIL 673-MAIL 446-MAIL
Enter your 10 digit mailbox number (618 XXX XXXX).
Enter your PIN and then #.
Selective Call Rejection blocks unwanted calls from disturbing you. Pick up the handset and listen for the dial tone. Press *60 (From a rotary phone, dial 1160). Listen for an announcement telling you whether the feature is currently on or off. The recorded voice will then tell you how many (if any) numbers are stored on your rejection list. Follow the voice instructions and dial 3 to turn the feature ON (if it is currently off), or turn the feature OFF (if it is currenly on). To add the last caller to your forward list, press #01#. To hear the numbers on your list, dial 1 then after the list is read, voice instructions will follow. To add a number, press # then follow the voice instructions. To remove a number, press * then follow the voice instructions to remove any or all of those numbers from your rejection list.
This feature allows you to prevent incoming calls from ringing your line by diverting them to a recorded announcement which tells the calling party the number cannot receive calls at this time. Pick up the handset and listen for dial tone. Enter *64 and listen for an announcement telling you whether the feature is currently on or off. The recorded voice will then tell you how many (if any) numbers are currently stored on your acceptance list. Dial 3 to turn the feature ON (if it is currently off), or turn the feature OFF (if it is currently on). To add a number, press the # sign key. To remove one or more numbers, press the * key. To hear the phone numbers on your list, dial 1. After the list is read, voice instructions will follow.
